If YouTube to MP3 is not working, identify the failing step before trying again. A rejected link, a failed conversion, an interrupted download, and a silent player are four different problems. Changing bitrate or repeatedly clicking Convert will not solve all of them.
Start by writing down the visible message and whether you already have a downloaded file. That simple distinction determines which checks are worth making next.
If the form rejects the link
Open the individual video and copy its link again. Remove surrounding text and avoid playlist, channel, and search-page addresses. Wavely’s current workflow accepts one video at a time; a playlist-only address cannot identify that video.
If the clipboard button fails, paste manually into the input. Clipboard access and video-link validation are separate features. A browser denying clipboard access does not establish that the URL itself is invalid.
If the job starts but cannot finish
Read the processing error. Check whether the source is still accessible and whether it exceeds the server’s displayed duration limit. File-size limits and unsupported live sources can also matter.
If the service requires an access key, use the one supplied by its operator. Do not enter a Google password. If the source is unavailable, changing audio quality is not a meaningful workaround. For your own material, return to the original file when possible.
If progress stops updating
A status-request failure does not automatically mean conversion failed. Wavely offers a retry-status action when polling fails. Restore connectivity and retry tracking before creating a second job.
Keep track of which result belongs to which attempt. Repeated submissions make it harder to understand whether a later error concerns the current file or an earlier expired result. If you choose to abandon tracking, remember that dismissing the interface and cancelling a job are different actions.
If downloading fails
Inspect the browser’s download list. Look for an interrupted transfer, storage problem, or expired response. If the result link remains valid, retry the download rather than repeating conversion immediately.
If the temporary file has expired, create a fresh result and save it promptly. A partial local file may not be usable. Verify the new file’s duration and ending before deleting an earlier copy.
If the saved file will not play
Try a known-good MP3 in the same player, then try the problem file in another player. Check media volume and output routing if all audio is silent. Our playback troubleshooting guide explains that comparison.
Browser audio playback has its own behavior and controls, covered by MDN’s audio element documentation. A failed web preview therefore should not be treated as conclusive evidence that a complete local file is broken.
Report useful details
If you need help from the service operator, provide the error text, the stage, the chosen format, and whether the file downloaded. Do not post access keys or temporary capability links publicly. A clear stage-by-stage description is more useful than “it does not work” and gives the operator a concrete place to start investigating.
